Car Sales Continue to Slide in U.S.

Demand for diesels plunged 24% to 28,300 units in February, cutting diesel’s share of the British market to 35% from nearly 45% a year ago. The decline offsets a 14% sales increase to 48,900 gasoline-fueled cars.
SMMT says sales of new vans rose 6% to a decade-high 14,100 units last month. Results were led by a 17% jump in medium-duty vehicles (2-2.5 metric tons).
