Volume fell at Toyota (-6% to 260,400 units), Mazda (-8% to 84,400), Honda (-1% to 74,500), Fuji Heavy (-3% to 63,000), Suzuki (-13% to 62,200) and Mitsubishi Motors (-23% to 44,300).
Production in Japan climbed last month for Nissan (+37% to 95,500). Output at Daihatsu was unchanged at 58,800 units.
