Motor Trend has chosen Cadillac's redesigned CTS sedan as its 2014 Car of the Year.
The $46,000-$60,000 CTS triumphed over 21 rival models that spanned from the relatively inexpensive Kia Forte and Mazda3 to the pricey Jaguar F-Type and Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
Motor Trend praised the Cadillac's powertrain, ride and handling. The CTS competes with such lines as the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
