Germany’s Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH plans to spend $105 million over the next five years to expand two Michigan facilities in support of recent new business wins.

Brose, which makes window regulators, liftgates, door modules, seat structures and closure systems, says it will add a combined 300 workers at the company’s U.S. headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich., and its New Boston, Mich., manufacturing plant. This week’s announcement follows a similar plan in 2014, increasing Brose’s total investment in Michigan since then to $203 million and 775 jobs.

The Michigan Strategic Fund board has approved performance-based grants of $2.7 million to support the latest expansion. This is in addition to the $4.3 million Michigan pledged in 2014.

Brose plans to buy new equipment for its seat structure paint, weld and track assembly operations. The added jobs will be split between production line workers at the New Boston plant and testing technicians and technical support people in Auburn Hills.

The company generates about 25% of its business in the U.S. Customers in the country include Ford, Fiat Chrysler, Honda and Nissan.
