England’s newly formed Brabham Automotive Ltd. says its upcoming BT62 hypercar will be powered by a naturally aspirated 5.4-liter V-8 that makes 700 hp.

The track-focused vehicle, which is due to be unveiled early next month, will feature a carbon fiber construction. The design is expected to keep the car’s dry weight below 2,150 lbs.

Brabham says the BT62 will have carbon-ceramic disc brakes with six-piston calipers. The car is expected to produce 2,645 lbs of downforce, which would exceed the McLaren Senna GTR supercar by 440 lbs.

Brabham describes the vehicle as a “low-slung, race-inspired” car. A teaser photo shows thin LED rear lights and a large rear wing.

Pricing will start at $1.4 million, with the first deliveries scheduled by year-end. Brabham plans to limit production to 70 units to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the start of Jack Brabham’s racing career in Australia.

The BT62 is the first car to bear the Brabham name in 26 years. The new company is led by Brabham’s youngest son David, who also is a former race car driver.
