Brabham Readies BT62 Supercar

England’s newly formed Brabham Automotive Ltd. plans to unveil its first model, the BT62, in early May.
The BT62, which is expected to be street legal, will be the first car to bear the Brabham name in 26 years. The supercar currently is undergoing a “rigorous and extensive” engineering program, according to the startup.
An audio clip indicates the BT62 will have a throaty exhaust note. No other details were provided.
The new company is led by former race car driver David Brabham. He is the youngest son of Formula One legend Jack Brabham, who raced a series of BT-badged models in the 1960s—and was the first racer to win an F1 title with a car bearing his own name (the Brabham B19 in 1966). He died in 2014 at the age of 88.
Media reports suggest the younger Brabham is a leading candidate to purchase the Force India F1 Team.
