BMW AG says it is “future-proofing” itself with a leaner top management structure.
The new organization will combine the company’s BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce brand sales under a single division, effective April 1. The unit will be headed by management board member Pieter Nota. He will continue his current responsibilities for aftermarket sales, and brand and product management.
Separately, BMW Motorrad motorcycle unit will joint the development division, which is headed by board member Klaus Frohlich.
Peter Schwarzenbauer intends to step down from the board in October. Until then, he will focus on electrification. He currently is responsible for Mini, Rolls-Royce and BMW Motorrad, plus customer engagement and digital business innovation.
