BMW Sales Grew 8% in January

BMW AG's group sales last month reached 132,900 units, up from 123,300 in January 2013, according to the company.

Monthly demand for BMW brand vehicles rose 9% to a record 117,200 units. Volume slipped 2% to 15,500 for the group's Mini cars.

Group sales climbed 18% to 50,800 units in Asia, including a 22% hike to 37,100 in China last month. Volume also advanced in the U.S. (+3% to 20,800) and South Korea (+24% to 3,500). Sales rose 1% to 51,300 in Europe.
