BMW Names New CEO for Canadian Operations

BMW AG has chosen Hans Blesse to succeed Eduardo Villaverde as president and CEO of its Canada unit, effective June 1.

Blesse currently heads BMW's motorcycle business in the U.S. He began his career with the company in Canada in 1987 and later served BMW in a sales and marketing capacity in Germany, Spain and the U.S.

The company did not say why Villaverde, who joined BMW 19 years ago, is leaving. The transition begins immediately.
