BMW AG has named Jochen Goller as global chief of its Mini brand, effective Oct. 1.

BMW AG has named Jochen Goller as global chief of its Mini brand, effective Oct. 1. He currently is the marque's U.K. director.

Goller's 14 years at BMW also has included stints in German and China, the latter as head of BMW marketing there.

Goller succeeds Kay Segler, who will take charge of expanding BMW Group communications in Asia.

Mini's worldwide sales dipped 1% to 172,300 vehicles in the January-July period this year.
