Bentley Ponders a Fifth Model

Volkswagen AG's Bentley Motors Group says it may expand its lineup with a fifth model to follow the €180,000 SUV it plans to introduce in 2016.

Bentley CEO Wolfgang Duerheimer is unclear about the vehicle's body style but tells reporters "it needs to be a solid statement in terms of luxury and performance."

He says the car could be a two-seat sport coupe or perhaps a sedan that fits in the middle of Bentley's current three-car lineup: the Continental GT coupe/convertible and Flying Spur and Mulsanne sedans.

Duerheimer says a decision will come after the company introduces the SUV, suggesting the new car if approved won't debut until at least 2018.
