Audi Set to Roll Out Another Quattro in Frankfurt

Audi AG will pay homage to Quattros past with the debut of the Audi Sport Quattro Concept at the Frankfurt auto show next week.

The high-performance plug-in hybrid concept, which Volkswagen AG's premium brand calls the legitimate successor to its 1980s-era Audi Quattro, telegraphs a likely sport coupe expected to join the Audi lineup in the next two years.

It is unclear whether the concept's 690-hp, 690 lb-ft all-wheel-drive, 8-speed automatic powertrain, featuring a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 backed by an electric motor, will appear in the production car.
