Audi AG is calling back about 680,000 cars in China to service electric water pumps that could become clogged and cause a fire, Shanghai Daily reports.
The recall covers several models imported or assembled in China between 2011 and 2016.
The same flaw prompted Audi to recall 342,900 cars in the U.S. in January. That campaign involves turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engines in Audi A4, A5 and A6 cars and Q5 crossover vehicles. Audi is using a software update in the U.S. to fix the problem.
