The dropouts include Alfa Romeo, DS, Fiat, Infiniti, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot and Volvo.
On the other hand, show organizers say several “young Asian” carmakers will be displaying products in Frankfurt for the first time. The show also will add new tech companies, including Qualcomm, IBM and Sony.
No-show carmakers tell AN they are broadening their marketing options to include special events, social media and other alternative ways of connecting with customers. The Frankfurt show occurs every other year, alternating with the Paris auto show.
