Aston Martin (UK) Holdings Ltd. confirms it will use its Lagonda nameplate for a limited-edition sedan it is developing for "invited" customers in the Middle East, according to media reports.
The timing of the car's introduction is unclear. But Autoblog.com reported in May that Aston Martin was road-testing a possible Lagonda four-door model. The Web site said the car would ride on a stretched version of Aston Martin's Rapide S sport coupe and share that car's 6.0-liter V-12 engine.
New reports predict the Lagonda, a name last used for a production car 25 years ago, will be priced around €146,000 ($196,000) and powered by a 550-hp version of the V-12 engine.
