American Axle CEO David Dauch Named Chairman

David Dauch, president and CEO of American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings Inc., has been appointed to the additional title of chairman.

He succeeds his father, AAM co-founder Richard Dauch, who died of complications from pancreatic cancer on Aug. 2.

The younger Dauch joined the company in 1995 as manager of sales administration. He was president and chief operating officer before adding the title of CEO last September when his father ceded that job.
