Ally Names New CFO

Ally Financial Inc. has promoted its treasurer, Christopher Halmy, to become the company's new chief financial officer on Nov. 8.

He succeeds James Mackey, who is leaving the company. Ally named Bradley Brown to take over as its new treasurer.

Halmy joined Ally, the former General Motors Acceptance Corp., in 2009 and became its treasurer two years later.
