U.S. auto club and insurance giant AAA is launching a service for buyers and sellers of used cars and trucks.
Dubbed AAA CarConnect, the service is being rolled out by AAA affiliates in California, Nevada and Utah. Participants are linked with AAA advisors to help them sell or purchase a used vehicle.
For sellers, the service includes a 60-point vehicle inspection, appraisal and pricing recommendation. Sales listings—including photos and a vehicle history report—will be posted on a variety of popular used-car websites.
Buyers can arrange for a test drive and make a secure payment online. The service also can help coordinate with local agencies to transfer ownership and vehicle registration. Purchases come with a free oil change and a 30-day limited warranty for qualified vehicles.
The service, which is being launched in San Jose, Calif., costs $250 for both buyers and sellers. AAA Members receive a 20% discount.
