Toyota Motor Corp.’s Lexus unit has released the first official images of its next-generation ES midsize sedan.
The ES will ride on Toyota’s modular TNGA platform, which also carries the Toyota Camry and Avalon sedans. The car will be built alongside the Avalon at Toyota’s plant in Georgetown, Ky.
Power is expected to come from a 3.5-liter V-6 engine mated with a new 8-speed automatic. A hybrid variant with a 2.5-liter engine is likely.
