New-car wholesales in Indonesia fell 11% to 90,200 units in March and 13% to 253,900 vehicles for the first quarter of 2019, the Assn. of Indonesian Automotive Manufacturers reports.
But the group reiterates its forecast that full-year sales will total 1.1 million units, down 4% from 2018.
The first-quarter sales decline came in spite of zero-percent financing offers. The association blames stagnant consumer purchasing power.
