U.S. Manufacturers are Forecasting to Increase Investments in New Metalcutting Equipment More Than 8% in 2013

Capital Spending Survey Results
The 2013 Gardner Research Capital Spending Survey and Forecast results indicate that U.S. manufacturers are forecasting to increase investments in new metalcutting equipment more than 8% in 2013. $2.0 billion market projected for turning equipment horizontal lathes with less than 10” chuck, and $2.7 billion market porjected for workholding equipment.

$2.0 Billion Market Projected for Turning Equipment
Horizontal CNC lathes with less than 10” chuck are the largest projected segment of the turning equipment market with projected spending of $520.6 million. The table below represents spending intentions for turning equipment.
