WHAT DIGITAL AD FORMAT DO WE ACCEPT?

The preferred format for ALL ad material submissions is a CMYK Hi-Res PDF. All images and fonts must be embedded with images being no smaller than 300 dpi. Additional information on how to create an acceptable PDF can be found below. If you need more details we encourage you to email advertsing@gardnerweb.com or call 800.950.8020. WHAT NOT TO SEND (PLEASE, NO EXCEPTIONS) 1. Do not submit ads in MS Word, PowerPoint or Publisher. 2. Do not submit film, we no longer accept. 3. Do not submit QuarkXpress Passport files UNLESS they are saved in English. ADS MAY ALSO BE SUBMITTED IN THE FOLLOWING FORMATS: • InDesign CS3 & CS4 • QuarkXpress 7.5 • Illustrator CS3 & CS4 Earlier versions are also accepted. Must include all images and fonts. SUBMITTING DIGITAL ADS • Ad files up to 5 MB can be e-mailed to: advertising@gardnerweb.com • Ad files up to 20 MB can be uploaded via our Ad File Uploads. • Ad files larger than 20 MB, please contact the advertising department. • All non-PDF files should be packaged and compressed prior to uploading. Adobe Acrobat Specifications

When creating a PDF file make sure your Acrobat Job Specifications match with ours, we have prepared a joboptions file for downloading for your use with Acrobat. All you need to do is download the file and save it in your settings folder within Acrobat Distiller. MAC USERS CLICK HERE to download the GPI job options for Acrobat Distiller. Simply double click the downloaded GPI_Mac8.jobobtions.sit file. It will launch Distiller and install our jobsettings. Click "OK" once the Adobe PDF Setting window opens. PC USERS CLICK HERE to download the GPI job options for Acrobat Distiller. Simply save in the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Distiller\Settings. Once you download the file and successfully store it in the appropriate folder, you should see the GPI joboptions in the drop down menu of Distiller. Just be sure to select GPI in your job option window in Distiller.
