What digital ad formats do we accept?

The preferred format for all ad material submissions is an Adobe PDF file. All images should be at least 300 dpi using CMYK color. All fonts and images must be embedded. Additional information on how to create a suitable PDF file can be found on our web site at www.gardnerweb.com/upload/.

Ads may also be submitted in the following native formats:

• InDesign CS3 & CS4
• QuarkXpress 7.5
• Illustrator CS3 & CS4
• Photoshop CS3 & CS4

Earlier releases of the above software are also acceptable. Please include all images and fonts.

Submitting Digital Ads

Ad files up to 5 MB can be e-mailed directly to billc@gardnerweb.com.

Ad files up to 20MB can uploaded via our Upload Center (FTP site) at www.gardnerweb.com/upload/.

For files larger than 20 MB, please contact the MMS advertising department to make arrangements for the file transfer.

All non-PDF files should be compressed, or "zipped," prior to transfer. WinZip or Stuffit works best.

Ad files may also be submitted on CD. Send them to:

What NOT To Send

1. Do not submit film; we no longer accept it.
2. Do not submit low-resolution files (less than 300 dpi).
3. Do not use RGB color formatting (use CMYK).
4. Do not submit ads in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint or Publisher formats.
5. Do not submit QuarkXpress Passport files unless they are saved out in English.
